Road Trip System – Unreal Engine
A modular vehicle interaction system designed to help you start or expand driving features in your project. It includes fuel consumption based on RPM, a basic currency setup used for fueling, toll payments, and speeding fines, as well as a mileage tracker for recording distance traveled. The package also provides engine-based audio, skidmarks with sound and smoke, and speed cameras that automatically detect and penalize speeding.
Additional features include an area name display for identifying regions or roads, a set of radio stations accessible through a radial menu, and a dirt system that applies vehicle dirt when driving over specific physical materials. A wash system is included to restore the vehicle to a clean state. All systems are Blueprint-based and can be customized or expanded to fit the needs of your game.
Features:
Area Name System
The name of the area says it all! Whenever you pass through an area, the name of the city or road you are crossing will appear on your screen, it’s up to you to decide what to call it.
Basic Currency System
Will allow you to have money to fuel your vehicle. If you run out of money, you know what will happen right?
Engine Sounds System
Your vehicle can now produce sounds based on engine RPM. If you’re a petrol head then make your engine scream until it runs out of fuel.
Fuel System
Your vehicle will consume different amounts of fuel based on engine RPM in order to make the fuel system more realistic. When the vehicle is stopped, that is, when the engine is at idle, it will consume very little fuel, but if you accelerate, the higher the engine RPM, the faster your fuel will go down. If you run out of fuel, your vehicle will stop running and the engine sound will turn off. While you are filling up your vehicle you can observe the liters adding up and your total payment as well, after you finish filling up, the total amount of fueling will be deducted from your wallet.
Mileage System
Calculates the distance travelled by your vehicle throughout your route.
Radio Stations System
Bored while traveling in your car? Turn on your radio and enjoy good music. A radial menu that allows you to change radio stations easily and quickly, leaving the gameplay running in real time but in slow motion so as not to disturb you while you change stations calmly.
Road Toll
Now you can block your roads with tolls so that your player has to pay to continue their journey.
Skidmarks System
Whenever you make a tight turn or even pull the handbrake, whether to drift or because you remembered to go back, skid marks will appear on the ground with sound and tire smoke.
Speed Cameras
Now you can get If the radar catches you speeding, you will get fines for speeding so be careful they are not cheap.
Automatic Vehicle Dirt System
Your vehicle will automatically accumulate dirt when driving over specific physical materials (such as mud, sand, or dirt roads). The more you drive on dirty surfaces, the more visible the dirt becomes, adding extra realism to your gameplay.
Vehicle Washing System
Clean your vehicle whenever you want! Visit a washing area to remove all accumulated dirt. As soon as the wash is completed, the vehicle returns to its clean state.
Collectable Stunt Jumps
When the player hits a stunt ramp, the jump enters slow-motion, showing which jump number was triggered (e.g., 1/5), along with the total airtime before landing.
